The Who & How[if anybody cares]:
Skrap Magazine is the product of three ‘old-school’ local-guys Hawai’i raised, hella ambitious, straight shootin, and on a mission. The brainchild of one Mr. Filisione Penitani, the idea was shared and sculpted with Mr. Rich Tomas while working security at the BeachHouse years ago. The two ‘tossed around’ the concept of a fight magazine with some serious style–not rough & sporty; but slick & pimp. They perfected the details one weekend at a time. And though it was a brilliant concept, way ahead of it’s time, it just never seemed to materialize. Finally, after a couple of side-tracked-starts, Alexander Ke’anoho’opono Nam was brought in to transform it from great conversation to great pages. Together the three have managed to create a publication that has been received well so far, and have planted the seeds for a lot more. Add their serious determination and the help of some other really good people, and here you have it: Skrap Magazine—island lifestyle with flare, fight, heart and soul…
